With the rapid development of AI models and high-density computing, data centers are entering the liquid cooling era. While liquid cooling delivers exceptional heat dissipation efficiency, coolant leakage remains a critical concern for data center operators. Connection points are among the most vulnerable areas in a liquid cooling system. How can reliable connections be maintained during every mating and unmating operation? Today, MOCO introduces the UQD and UQDB Series high-performance liquid cooling connectors, developed specifically for data center cooling systems to provide dependable connections at critical points. As an active participant in the Open Compute Project ecosystem, MOCO developed the UQD and UQDB Series with OCP specifications in mind. These connectors integrate with mainstream liquid-cooled servers and Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), helping data centers improve system compatibility and deployment flexibility. Safety is fundamental to every liquid cooling system. The new connectors feature an advanced double shut-off valve structure. During pressurized disconnection, the valves inside both the plug and socket close rapidly to minimize coolant loss and help protect valuable servers and other IT equipment. Designed for the complex operating conditions found in data center liquid cooling systems, the connectors provide the following performance features: Available in 04, 06, and 08 flow sizes with bore diameters ranging from 5.7 to 9.5 mm. The maximum flow rate reaches 21.3 L/min, while optimized Cv values support efficient coolant circulation. With a maximum working pressure of up to 16 bar, the connectors are designed to withstand pressure fluctuations and demanding operating conditions. An operating temperature range of -20°C to 125°C supports coolant circulation under a wide variety of thermal conditions. Mismating prevention: The connectors are available with blue (BU) and red (RD) identification options, making it easier to distinguish between cold and hot coolant lines and reducing the risk of connection errors during installation and maintenance. Comprehensive product portfolio: In addition to the UQD Series for current data center applications, MOCO also offers the UQDB Series for next-generation system architectures and the high-flow LGT Series for immersion cooling systems. Together, these products support both direct-to-chip cold-plate cooling and immersion cooling applications. Note: The UQD and UQDB Series are available with UNF fine-thread fittings, H-Series hose connections, and other fitting options to accommodate different piping requirements.
