Shanghai, China – April 8-11, 2025 – MOCO is excited to announce its participation in the 2025 China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF).

SMA (Sub-Miniature-A) radio frequency coaxial connector originated in 1958 and was invented by James Cheal of Bendix Company in the United States. SMA connectors are widely used in aerospace systems, microwave communication engineering, industrial defense weapons and other fields due to their small size, simple structure, wide frequency range, and high reliability.


SMA is the most commonly used RF connector with a threaded interface, an impedance of 50 ohms, and can be used up to 18 GHz. Generally the surface is gold plated. Some thicker wires (RG59 and above) will be nickel plated.


SMA connectors are divided into male and female connectors according to structure, standard polarity and reverse polarity (RP SMA/RP-SMA) according to style, and right angle and 90 degrees according to shape.
